Scientific Coding Expert – Biology

About the Role

Prointegrate World IT Consulting is seeking skilled professionals in biology with strong Python programming and scientific computing expertise to join as Scientific Coding Experts. This role involves contributing to the creation and evaluation of advanced AI models through rigorous scientific problem development and testing.

Engagement and Work Arrangement

• Contract type: Short-term freelance engagement lasting 8 weeks
• Number of openings: 75 positions
• Remote work mode with full flexibility
• Expected commitment: approximately 40 hours per week
• Work schedule includes a daily overlap of 4 hours with Pacific Standard Time (PST)
• Compensation: $180 per approved task, with each complex task estimated at around 6 hours

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed scientific coding problems comprising multiple interrelated sub-problems
• Implement and verify Python reference solutions along with comprehensive unit tests
• Design precise test cases that effectively differentiate between correct and incorrect AI-generated outputs
• Perform quality control validations and enhance tasks based on constructive feedback
• Contribute datasets for training and evaluating cutting-edge AI models
• Participate in review meetings and project synchronization during the PST overlap hours

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Biology
• Proven proficiency in Python programming and scientific computing frameworks
• Experience with libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, SymPy, or other domain-specific scientific tools
• Ability to design rigorous scientific problems specifying clear constraints and expected outputs
• Strong focus on scientific accuracy, deterministic processes, and maintaining high-quality test cases
• Experience in research, scientific writing, or AI data annotation is advantageous
• Knowledge of large language model evaluation frameworks or coding benchmarks is preferred
• Background in published research or academic projects in STEM fields
