Role Overview

We are searching for a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer with a backend emphasis to join our core remote team. The role involves developing backend services, APIs, databases, and interactive front-end web components that drive one of the fastest-growing crypto casinos worldwide. The position offers autonomy and a chance to work on systems where speed, reliability, and user experience are of critical importance.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems handling player accounts, wallets, games, leaderboards, and related core features.
Develop and optimize Node.js microservices and APIs.
Implement distributed, event-driven architectures supporting real-time functionality via WebSockets, Pub/Sub, and messaging tools.
Create interactive and high-performance web front ends using React.
Work with PostgreSQL and Redis to maintain reliable data infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, front-end developers, and DevOps from feature conception through production deployment.
Continuously monitor and enhance system scalability, reliability, and performance.
Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.
Participate actively in code reviews and advocate for engineering best practices.
Contribute to enhancing CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools.
Investigate and resolve production issues, delivering sustainable fixes.
Own projects and features, working alongside senior engineers on strategic technical decisions.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications

3 to 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
Strong backend development skills using Node.js.
Experience building and maintaining APIs and backend services.
Good comprehension of databases, especially PostgreSQL.
Proficiency in front-end development with React.
Familiarity with real-time interaction technologies such as WebSockets.
Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven system design.
Experience using CI/CD tools and modern development workflows.
Solid grasp of software engineering principles and clean code practices.
A proactive attitude with readiness to take ownership of tasks.
Ability to function effectively in an independent, remote team environment.

Desirable Attributes

Background in cryptocurrency or iGaming industries.
Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or other messaging platforms.
Knowledge of game networking, animations, or interactive application development.
Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud environments.
Experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS.
Exposure to PixiJS or comparable rendering or game development frameworks.
Experience working with systems managing high traffic and throughput.
