Their office in Dubai serves as a crucial operational hub bridging Eastern and Western markets and supports the company’s expansion into UK, US, and Asian territories.
Role Overview
The Management Accountant will assist the Head of Finance by delivering comprehensive financial reporting across all departments to optimize their operational effectiveness. Situated in Dubai, this position has a global remit, overseeing financial operations beyond the UAE region.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly sales and margin performance reports and trend analyses for the sales team.
- Compile consolidated and individual entity Management Accounts, including the Balance Sheet and detailed sales and margin reconciliations.
- Develop quarterly re-forecasts and annual budgets covering major financial statements such as cash flow, including variance examination.
- Generate liquidity reports focusing on cash and inventory assets when needed.
- Consistently review and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts to maintain an up-to-date business financial snapshot, aiding quick decision-making.
- Manage inventory reconciliation at the balance sheet level through physical stock counts, oversee stock adjustments, and investigate discrepancies identified by Bookkeeping or operations teams.
- Analyze expense data to facilitate effective cost management.
- Prepare and review data for tax filings ensuring compliance.
- Coordinate with auditors at year-end and handle audit information requests.
- Act as a financial business partner to departments, providing necessary financial insights to enhance performance.
- Calculate monthly sales commissions accurately.
- Support the Head of Finance in implementing and monitoring improvements in finance processes, including automating routine tasks.
Candidate Requirements
- Hold a professional accounting qualification recognized internationally, such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
- Possess at least 3 years of relevant experience in management accounting, financial control, or finance business partnering roles.
- Have expertise in inventory accounting at the balance sheet level, including stock provisioning and analyzing variances.
- Exhibit strong communication abilities.
- Demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Be comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Efficiently manage and re-prioritize workloads as required.
- Maintain a flexible approach conducive to continuous process improvements.
- Adapt positively to organizational changes.
