Linen Technician

Job Overview

The Linen Technician will be in charge of all linen area duties including managing inventory and replenishing stock. They will record all par-stock deliveries and submit documentation at shift's end. Responsibilities include monitoring par levels of Scrub-Ex machines, restocking, and emptying these machines as assigned. Maintaining departmental organization and promptly responding to phone inquiries or requests is also required. Tasks may be conducted in one or both hospital towers.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must have the ability to read, speak, write, perform basic math calculations, and comprehend both written and verbal instructions.
• Capable of counting and accurately recording linen deliveries.
• Physical capability to safely push and pull carts, stock linen carts, and deliver linen throughout hospital areas.
• Ability to remain standing and walking for substantial portions of each work shift.

Motor Vehicle Operator Notes

This role does not involve vehicle operation for business purposes. A frequent driver is someone who drives at least once daily, completes a minimum of five individual trips weekly, or averages over 150 miles driven per week for work-related tasks.
