Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Frontend Engineer to contribute to the development of the region’s premier property marketplace website. This consumer-focused, high-traffic product serves millions of users including buyers, renters, and agents. The role is tailored for candidates with about 1 to 3 years of professional experience, possessing solid programming fundamentals, eagerness to learn, and a proactive mindset. The position offers dedicated mentorship, thorough code reviews, and a progressive increase in project ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance user-centric features for the Property Finder web platform.
• Write clean, well-structured TypeScript and React code adhering to established team standards.
• Collaborate effectively with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to translate requirements into responsive and polished interfaces.
• Engage in code reviews, both receiving constructive feedback and providing evaluations for peers.
• Identify and resolve bugs, UI discrepancies, and optimize performance issues.
• Learn and adapt to the tech stack, development tools, and workflows, progressively taking on larger scopes of responsibility from smaller tasks to full feature ownership.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Between 1 and 3 years of experience in frontend development within commercial or professional environments.
• Familiarity with Next.js including routing, data retrieval, and foundational server-side rendering concepts, as this framework is central to daily tasks.
• Proficient with Git and collaborative development processes including branching, pull requests, and peer code reviews.
• Strong attention to detail, able to detect subtle UI issues or missing states in user interactions.
• Willingness to adopt testing methodologies including unit and component tests.

Preferred Skills

• Experience or knowledge relating to responsive design, web accessibility standards (a11y), and fundamental web performance metrics such as Core Web Vitals.
• Exposure to CSS-in-JS, Tailwind CSS, or development driven by design systems.
• Owning personal coding projects, contributing to open source, or maintaining a portfolio of work is advantageous.
