About the Role

This is a full-time remote opportunity based in Australia for an early-career Junior DevOps Engineer. The position is designed for recent graduates and professionals at the start of their technology careers who want to build practical experience in DevOps, cloud computing, infrastructure automation, and site reliability engineering.

You will join a cloud and engineering team and work with experienced engineers to help run cloud environments, streamline releases, watch application and infrastructure health, and support the stability and scalability of modern software systems. The role provides hands-on exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD workflows, container technologies, and infrastructure management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support the upkeep and observation of cloud environments and infrastructure.
  • Assist with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Help automate deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.
  • Track application performance, system status, and infrastructure metrics.
  • Help investigate infrastructure, deployment, and application issues.
  • Work with development teams to improve release reliability and deployment speed.
  • Assist with container-based deployments using Docker and similar tools.
  • Keep technical documentation, operational runbooks, and system setup details up to date.
  • Take part in incident response and root cause analysis.

Requirements
