Java Software Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Java Full Stack Developer skilled in crafting scalable enterprise applications with modern Java technologies, cloud-native designs, and microservices. The successful candidate will have deep experience in Kafka, Kubernetes, API security, observability tools, SQL databases, and Spring microservices development.

Core Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Create and integrate RESTful APIs with strong security implementations for authentication and authorization.
• Develop event-driven systems leveraging Apache Kafka for real-time messaging and processing.
• Deploy, manage, and resolve issues in Kubernetes-based application environments.
• Implement observability solutions using tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
• Optimize application performance for scalability and resilience.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, architects, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure high code quality via testing, peer reviews, and adherence to CI/CD practices.
• Create database solutions, author complex SQL queries, and enhance database efficiency.
• Adhere to secure coding standards and enterprise API security protocols.

Necessary Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience with Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA
• Expertise in Microservices Architecture
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka messaging platform
• Proficiency deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of API authentication and authorization frameworks including OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, and API Gateway concepts
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK Stack, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics
• In-depth understanding of Spring Framework bean management and dependency injection
• Proficiency in SQL databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL
• Strong debugging and performance tuning capabilities
• Experience with version control (Git), build tools (Maven), automated testing and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Knowledge of Docker containerization
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• Frontend development skills using Angular or React
• Exposure to Banking, Financial Services, or Payments industry domains

Professional Experience Required

A minimum of 8 years in software development with at least 8 years dedicated to hands-on Java microservices development is essential.
