General Assistant

Role Overview

Pepkor Lifestyle seeks a dynamic and dependable General Assistant to become part of our store operations team. This position involves ensuring a clean, compliant, and well-presented store environment, while delivering outstanding service to customers and collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Primary Duties

• Maintain cleanliness across kitchen, restrooms, and store areas daily, adhering to OHASA health and safety standards, while ensuring aisles remain tidy and displays safe.
• Manage stock activities such as unpacking deliveries, replenishing shelves, performing stock counts, arranging promotional materials, applying suite treatments, and reporting any stock loss or damage.
• Provide excellent customer service, assist in resolving customer concerns, and aim to surpass expectations aligned with the company’s service standards.
• Efficiently prioritize daily tasks, foster positive work relationships, and proactively develop personal skills.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Hold a Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent educational qualification.
• Possess at least one year of experience working as a general worker.
• Understand OHASA regulations, retail customer service principles, and internal store policies.
• Demonstrate strong competencies in communication, time management, multitasking, attention to detail, interpersonal relations, and problem-solving.
