Role Overview

Join as a Customer Delivery Driver representing Tesco on the roads every day, delivering groceries straight to customers' homes. This role extends beyond just driving, requiring a helpful attitude and excellent customer service skills. The work is active and varied, with shifts differing day to day. You'll work mostly independently but have the support of managers and teammates when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your van, delivery trays, and work area to ensure customers receive their shopping in perfect condition.
• Load the delivery vehicle safely, perform all required safety checks to confirm it is roadworthy and reliable.
• Communicate clearly and kindly with customers about any order modifications, substitutions, or items nearing expiry, and manage refunds to ensure a smooth experience.
• Handle all products carefully, treating each order with care to uphold quality and customer confidence.
• Deliver orders within scheduled time windows, providing warm and friendly service at the customer’s doorstep to make them feel valued.

Requirements

• Develop positive working relationships with colleagues to foster teamwork and deliver outstanding service.
• Be friendly and approachable to both customers and co-workers.
• Adapt quickly to customer needs and embrace changes during your routes and at the store.
• Hold a valid UK, EU or EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least one year, with a maximum of 3 penalty points.

• Starting hourly wage at £14.18, increasing up to £15.45 within M25 store locations; some locations may provide extra payments.
