The Cashier plays an essential role in delivering swift, friendly, precise, and secure service to customers. They efficiently handle checkout and return transactions while overseeing the self-checkout stations. By actively gaining product and project knowledge, they provide helpful information and recognize sales opportunities. Following all company policies ensures loss prevention is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
The Head Cashier supports cashiers by managing their positioning, expediting price verifications, and authorizing Point of Sale transactions and markdowns across various service points including mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, Pro Desk, special services, and tool rental departments. They serve as the initial point of escalation for customer concerns, assist with supervising, coaching, and training front-end staff by aiding in new cashier training, and utilize coaching tools to foster development among cashier team members.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Head Cashier role has more than one year of prior cashier experience, showcasing capability in cashier duties and basic supervisory tasks.
