Site Project Engineer

Role Overview

This position is for a civil site engineer responsible for driving high-rise building execution from structure through finishing. The role is centered on coordinating site activities, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring timely progress on a large real estate project in Pune Division, Maharashtra.

Core Execution Responsibilities

• Oversee RCC and structural work for high-rise construction, including excavation, foundations, raft and pile caps, retaining walls, shear walls, slabs, columns, beams, staircases, lift cores, and related civil elements.
• Work strictly as per structural drawings, BBS, pour cards, shuttering and formwork systems, and concrete quality requirements.
• Coordinate with structural consultants whenever clarifications, drawing changes, or site execution issues arise.
• Plan the work sequence carefully and improve slab-to-slab cycle time to keep progress on track.

Finishing and Handover Readiness

• Manage finishing activities end to end, including internal plaster or gypsum work, flooring and tiling, skirting, waterproofing for terraces, toilets, podiums and basements, door and window coordination, painting, façade finishing, and common-area works such as lobbies, staircases, podium zones and landscape civil items.
• Maintain finishing quality at standards suitable for a premium township environment.
• Track snag removal, punch-list closure, and overall readiness for final handover and inspection.

Contractor, Vendor, and Billing Control

• Engage, supervise, and monitor contractors responsible for structural and finishing packages.
• Check contractor billing, running account measurements, and certification documentation.
• Review manpower deployment, productivity, and material usage at contractor level.
• Hold weekly review discussions with contractors and drive corrective actions where needed.

Planning, Tracking, and Reporting

• Create and monitor detailed micro-level schedules for structure and finishing works.
• Ensure site execution follows the baseline plan and milestone deadlines.
• Coordinate progress reporting with the planning team.
• Identify delays or risks early and implement recovery actions to avoid schedule slippage.

Quality, Compliance, and Documentation

• Implement QA/QC processes across civil works.
• Carry out routine inspections, quality checks, and audits on site.
• Follow IS codes, site SOPs, checklists, and approved method statements.
• Maintain records such as pour cards, cube test results, material approvals, WIRs, and MIRs.

Safety and Site Discipline

• Ensure compliance with site safety rules and protocols at all times.
• Promote safe work practices covering PPE use, working at height, scaffolding safety, and lifting operations.
• Coordinate with the safety officer for toolbox talks and accident-prevention efforts.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work with MEP teams for sleeves, inserts, openings, and service integration.
• Coordinate execution alignment with architects, interior teams, and façade consultants.
• Liaise with stores, procurement, and billing teams to secure materials and vendor support on time.
• Support project reporting and documentation needs linked to RERA and site records.

Material Planning and Cost Control

• Forecast and plan civil material requirements such as cement, steel, shuttering materials, blocks, sand, aggregates, waterproofing chemicals, tiles, and adhesives.
• Reduce wastage and use materials efficiently.
• Monitor BOQ versus actual consumption to support cost control and highlight deviations.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant should bring strong practical experience in RCC structure execution and finishing works, ideally from township or large-scale real estate projects. The role calls for someone who can manage multiple contractors, handle tight deadlines, understand drawings and specifications, and work confidently under pressure with a sharp eye for quality.

Qualification and Experience

A B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering is mandatory. The position requires 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in high-rise residential or commercial projects.

Reporting and Travel

The role reports to the HOD. Travel is required.
