Role Overview
This position is for a senior electrical engineering professional responsible for supporting power generation, transmission, and distribution projects from design through commissioning. The role is based in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, India and focuses on technical excellence, safety, and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the creation, refinement, and technical review of electrical system designs for generation, transmission, and distribution work, with full alignment to applicable Indian and global standards.
- Manage electrical engineering tasks during project execution, including planning, coordination, site supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Offer expert-level guidance on critical electrical assets such as transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, motors, and protection relays to support reliability and performance.
- Create and execute preventive maintenance plans, diagnose electrical issues, and resolve faults to reduce outages and protect asset health.
- Ensure all electrical work follows safety requirements, environmental regulations, and the organization’s zero-incident safety approach.
- Coordinate with teams across mechanical, civil, instrumentation, and project management functions to support integrated and timely project completion.
- Assess, manage, and oversee vendors and contractors involved in electrical scope, ensuring quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with specifications.
- Prepare engineering documentation, reports, calculation sheets, test records, and manuals for internal review and regulatory checks.
- Support process and design improvements by adopting better methods, modern technologies, and innovative solutions aligned with sustainable growth objectives.
- Guide and develop junior engineers and technicians to strengthen team capability and encourage effective knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related equivalent qualification, from a recognized university is required.
