Role Overview

This position is part of the Engineering & Facilities team in Dubai Marina, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role is a full-time, non-management opportunity in a hotel environment, focused on maintaining and refreshing property finishes to a high standard.

Key Duties

• Prepare, paint, stain, and finish walls, ceilings, furniture, and other property surfaces using tools such as brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Prime or seal new surfaces so they are ready for final coats.
• Strip away existing finishes and prepare surfaces by sanding, wire brushing, burning, or abrasive/water blasting as needed.
• Protect nearby areas during painting work and place visible signage when surfaces are being painted.
• Clean and properly store paint, tools, and equipment after use.
• Work with vendors when colour adjustments are needed for paint, stain, or varnish.

Work Standards and Expectations

• Comply with company policies as well as all safety and security procedures.
• Escalate maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries promptly.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Keep uniforms and personal presentation neat, professional, and aligned with company standards.
• Safeguard confidential information and company property.
• Provide courteous service to guests, including welcoming them, anticipating needs, supporting guests with disabilities, and responding with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and others.
• Contribute to team objectives and uphold quality standards.
• Be able to work in physically demanding conditions, including reaching, bending, twisting, climbing ladders, and handling objects of varied size and weight.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place items up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Remain on your feet or seated for extended periods when required.
• Perform additional duties reasonably assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Profile

A technical, trade, or vocational school qualification is preferred. The role requires at least 1 year of relevant work experience. No supervisory background is necessary, and no license or certification is required.
