The position focuses on keeping the site’s buildings, systems, equipment, vehicles, and grounds in working order. You will help maintain safe and secure operations by carrying out repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance across a variety of facility assets.

Key duties

• Keep the facility’s physical structure in safe working condition so operations remain secure and compliant.
• Inspect equipment and machinery, identify faults, and carry out necessary repairs.
• Install and fix electrical parts, including wiring and electronic components used in machinery and equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks in line with the established maintenance schedule.
• Supervise and monitor inmates or residents assigned to the Maintenance Department, while keeping track of their work activities.

Qualifications

This role requires a high school diploma, GED, or an equivalent credential. Applicants should have at least two years of experience in general maintenance or construction. Relevant technical or trade school coursework in a maintenance- or construction-related discipline may be used in place of the required experience on a one-for-one basis.

Preference is given to candidates with knowledge of building construction and how building systems operate. A valid driver’s license is mandatory, and applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Compensation
