Lead Operations Data & Performance Analyst

About the role

This position focuses on analysing AOCC operational performance in both proactive and reactive modes, validating and reporting operational data, and helping decision-makers improve procedures and concepts. It also strengthens oversight of AOCC staff performance in OPS data handling and hard resource allocation, with the goal of identifying where performance can be improved. A further part of the role is to help transform the AOCC reporting framework.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the information systems team on major application rollouts by contributing technical input and helping shape processes that lead to efficient, high-performing operational solutions.
• Create consolidated operational dashboards and review hard resource allocation data and trends for management, including comparisons of real-time activity, planning data, and historical records.
• Cut down manual work by increasing automation across operational monitoring and day-of-operation support tasks for AOCC.
• Prepare reference materials and deliver training that encourages more data-led decision-making.
• Generate reports and performance analysis for the AOCC team and its personnel against KPIs and other measures, ensuring the information is timely, accurate, and clearly shows risks and improvement areas.
• Investigate operational issues in advance to find the root cause of data inconsistencies or emerging trends and recommend ways to prevent them from recurring.
• Use statistical techniques to study information, identify patterns, and present conclusions to the line manager using analytical tools.
• Build statistical outputs and supporting data for presentations, business cases, and management reporting as requested by leadership.
• Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with managers to understand business needs and support discussions on operational projects by supplying current and target data for KPI setting.
• Work with other analytics and reporting teams to strengthen operational reporting and explore improvement opportunities through alternative data sources.
• Design and implement automated reports using available corporate applications, then capture, analyse, and present the results.
• Guide the AOCC duty team on how to use relevant data, information management, and reporting platforms.
• Carry out additional department-related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, along with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Prior experience in airport operations.
• Background in operations control centre roles and operating concepts.
• Strong skills in analysis and presenting findings.
• Capability in data analysis and data visualisation.
• Very good command of Microsoft Office tools.
• Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI.
• Understanding of Airport Operations Systems (AOS).
• Understanding of Airport Operational Database (AODB).
• Ability in database performance tuning.
• Ability in database management.
• Knowledge of software development fundamentals.
• Experience with data maintenance.
• Awareness of database security.
• Ability to support process improvement.
• Understanding of system administration.
