Role overview
Rubislaw Park Care Home in Aberdeen’s West End is an award-winning care home and nursing facility offering residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for up to 86 residents.
In this Host position, you will help create a friendly, organised and comfortable dining experience for residents and visitors. This is a customer-facing role where a welcoming attitude, care for detail and a calm approach will help keep mealtimes pleasant, smooth and well coordinated.
You will support the everyday presentation and efficient running of dining spaces, helping maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and service. Your duties will include preparing the dining area, serving refreshments and assisting during mealtimes, all of which contribute to residents’ comfort, routine and wellbeing.
You will work alongside kitchen and care colleagues to foster a positive, inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and supported.
Contract and terms
- Pay rate: £12.71 per hour.
- Working pattern: 38 hours per week on a contracted basis.
- Benefits include paid PVG, pension contribution and a supplied uniform.
- Annual leave: 5.6 weeks for a full-time contract.
What the employer is looking for
The ideal candidate will bring a warm, professional and approachable manner, along with strong communication and organisational ability. Good standards of cleanliness and an eye for detail are important, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A reliable, positive attitude is essential. Previous experience in customer service can be helpful, although it is not required.
