About the Role
This opportunity is for exceptional data scientists who want to work with a remote team supporting advanced AI research efforts. The organization connects experienced creative and technical professionals with leading AI labs and is backed by well-known investors based in San Francisco.
Role Details
- Engagement type: contract
- Pay range: USD 60 to USD 100 per hour
- Work mode: fully remote
- Time commitment: 20 to 40 hours each week
What You Will Do
- Plan experiments and collect data to support machine learning use cases.
- Clean, prepare, and study large datasets for predictive modeling.
- Assess and refine AI models using TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Partner with engineering teams to turn models into production-ready solutions.
- Create, review, and verify prompt-style questions used to train AI systems.
- Work autonomously and on an asynchronous schedule while meeting deadlines and improving model quality.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional experience in data science or applied analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and Jupyter notebooks.
- Hands-on experience with numpy, pandas, scipy, sympy, scikit-learn, torch, and tensorflow.
- A bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a similar field from the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, the UK, or Australia.
- Strong knowledge of exploratory data analysis, statistical inference, machine learning workflows, model evaluation, feature engineering, data preprocessing, data wrangling, A/B testing, experimentation, or causal inference.
- Excellent spoken and written communication abilities.
- High attention to detail.
