Role overview
Seatrium is looking for a Data Coordinator to support engineering project data management within client information systems. The role focuses on tag data control, document-data association, reporting, and coordination across project stakeholders to ensure information is accurate, complete, and ready for handover.
What you will do
- Work with the Information Manager to submit Technical Query (TQ) data and to maintain the Master Tag List across different engineering disciplines, making sure tagging rules are followed.
- Check that engineering and supplier documents or drawings are linked correctly to the appropriate tag type and that the related data properties are assigned correctly.
- Join project discussions and meetings to understand client and internal requirements for data collection, reporting, turnover, final delivery, and handover updates.
- Support the gradual build-up of tag records in the client’s information management master database, while validating imported tag data and attributes for quality.
- Coordinate with the section lead to fix missing, inconsistent, or incorrect tag and data entries, and maintain records of data issues and their resolution.
- Prepare data completion/progress and quality reports in the client’s information management system, including weekly updates on progress, issues, and other concerns.
- Take part in seminars and learning opportunities to stay current on information management system tools, technologies, and project management developments, and suggest process improvements.
- Track recurring and emerging issues, analyze patterns, and identify areas where improvements are needed.
- Collect stakeholder feedback and provide professional responses that help improve delivery processes, tools, and service capability for project information management.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in an engineering project environment, preferably in piping or instrument disciplines.
- Background in data and document control for FPSO/FPU projects in onshore or offshore oil and gas settings.
- Hands-on familiarity with project information management software such as Aveva Engineering, Hexagon SDX, EDWS (SQL), and PIM (non-SQL).
- Experience using data/document tools such as PIM, iDocs, and Project Tools, with the ability to help create progress and quality reports in client information management systems.
- Knowledge of Data and Documentation for Operation (DFO) and Vital Document & Data (VDD) project activities.
