About the Opportunity
A client-focused recruitment consultancy is looking to place a Design Engineer with a respected conveyor system manufacturing company in Chennai. This role is suited to someone who wants practical engineering exposure, steady career growth, and the chance to contribute to industrial design projects.
Role Overview
The selected candidate will work on conveyor system design, preparing drawings and supporting the development of fabrication-ready and assembly-ready documentation. The position involves close coordination on design changes and technical detailing for industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D conveyor system drawings using AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS.
- Develop general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Design supporting structures such as frames, platforms, and walkways for conveyor installations.
- Carry out basic structural checks and load calculations to support design decisions.
- Update and refine drawings according to client comments and revision requests.
- Prepare bills of materials and the related design documentation.
Preferred Profile
The ideal candidate is a conveyor designer with a background in Mechanical or Production engineering. Formal graduation is not mandatory for this role.
Additional Information
This opportunity is based in Chennai, India. The stated compensation is INR 2,00,000 to INR 4,00,000 per year.
