About the Opportunity
This role is part of a project-based collaboration model where subject matter experts support the testing, evaluation, and refinement of AI systems for major technology clients. It is not a permanent job; instead, you contribute on a project-by-project basis.

What You May Be Asked to Do
- Build original computational chemistry questions that mirror real research-style workflows.
- Write problems that require Python-based solving with tools such as NumPy, SciPy, and chemistry-focused libraries.
- Make sure the tasks are demanding enough that they cannot be worked out manually in a reasonable time, potentially taking days or weeks.
- Develop questions that involve advanced reasoning across physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modelling.
- Ground the problems in practical chemistry use cases or genuine research scenarios.
- Check and validate answers using Python and standard computational chemistry methods.
- Write clear problem statements and supply verified correct solutions.

Candidate Profile
- Degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
- Working knowledge of Python for numerical validation; other equivalent tools or languages may include MATLAB, R, C, SQL, NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, Stata, or similar programming experience.
- At least 2 years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching backgrounds.
- Hands-on exposure to numerical methods used in chemistry.
- Understanding of computational chemistry concepts and techniques.
- Strong written English skills at C1 level or above.
How the Process Works
The typical flow is: apply, complete the qualification steps, join a project, finish assigned tasks, and then receive payment.
Time Commitment
During active project phases, the expected workload is around 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and is not guaranteed outside the active period.
Compensation
Contributors may earn up to the equivalent of USD 35 per hour on this project, with pay depending on skill level and contribution pace. Compensation can differ from one project to another based on scope, complexity, and expertise required.
