Role Summary
In this Assistant Sales Manager role, you will assess sales opportunities across sectors such as BFSI and telecom. A background in solution selling, consulting, or financial services will be a strong advantage. The position sits within the Consumer Services business line, where data, credit intelligence, and software are used to help businesses make faster, fairer, and more informed credit decisions.
Business Development and Sales
- Identify and pursue potential FinTech customers, including digital lenders, neobanks, payment companies, and other technology-led financial firms.
- Drive adoption of Experian’s offerings such as bureau products, credit risk tools, fraud prevention solutions, analytics platforms, and decisioning systems.
- Create and execute a sales strategy to meet revenue goals and grow the client portfolio within the FinTech space.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations.
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client challenges and suggesting suitable solutions.
- Work with clients on issues related to risk control, regulatory obligations, and customer acquisition.
Solution Selling and Delivery Support
- Showcase Experian’s products in a persuasive way by linking them to client-specific business problems.
- Tailor proposals, presentations, and pricing approaches to match customer objectives.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as product, analytics, and implementation to support successful solution delivery.
Market Intelligence and Strategy
- Stay updated on FinTech trends and industry developments to uncover new business opportunities.
- Share customer and market feedback with the product team to help shape demand-led innovations and new technologies.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to strengthen visibility and build professional networks.
Reporting and Performance Tracking
- Keep CRM records current for sales activity, pipeline opportunities, and forecasts.
- Monitor key results such as revenue growth, customer acquisition, and client satisfaction.
- Spot process gaps and implement improvements that help increase sales effectiveness.
Experience Required
You should have around 2 or more years of experience in solution sales, consulting, or a financial services environment. Experience in the FinTech ecosystem—such as digital lending, payments, and neobanks—as well as B2B sales in financial services, technology, or similar industries will be valuable.
