Store Driver

Role overview

The Store Driver is an entry-level store role focused on delivering automotive parts to commercial customers while also helping with in-store inventory and operational support. The position may be offered on a part-time or full-time basis, and fleet safety certification is required.

Core duties

• Deliver parts safely to customers when needed.
• Prepare and stage parts for customer orders.
• Collect returned items and cores.
• Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers.
• Handle daily collection on credit accounts.

Additional store support

• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, restrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Assist with stocking tasks, including truck unloading and back stock organization.

Licenses and certification

A valid driver's license and fleet safety certification are mandatory.

Physical requirements

This position involves frequent standing and walking, along with the ability to talk, hear, and use hands and arms for handling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The role regularly requires lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Required vision capabilities include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment

Most work is performed indoors, though the job may also require occasional outdoor exposure to weather conditions, such as while installing batteries and wiper blades. There may also be intermittent exposure to moving mechanical parts, elevated areas, chemicals, electrical shock risks, explosives, and vibration. The typical noise level is moderate.
