Role Overview

This full-time Billing, Payroll & TMS Specialist position is based in Mohali, Punjab, with a hybrid setup that combines office presence and work-from-home flexibility. The role covers the complete billing cycle, payroll support, and Transportation Management System (TMS) updates, while coordinating closely with operations, dispatch, accounting, HR, clients, carriers, and drivers.

Billing Responsibilities

You will be responsible for preparing, checking, and sending client invoices, maintaining billing records, and making sure revenue is recorded correctly and on time. The position also involves reviewing load and delivery information, handling billing disputes, and working with internal teams to clarify any charge-related issues.

Payroll and TMS Duties

The specialist will gather and verify driver and employee time, mileage, and trip details to support payroll processing, prepare payroll summaries, and coordinate payment-related follow-up with accounting or HR. You will also update shipment and load data in the TMS, monitor shipment status, keep records accurate, and generate reports for management.

Communication and Coordination

Regular interaction with clients, carriers, and internal departments is an important part of this role. Clear communication is expected through email, text, and phone, especially when confirming charges, answering questions, or resolving billing and payroll concerns.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should have solid billing operations knowledge, experience with invoice creation and reconciliation, and a basic understanding of accounting concepts such as ledgers, payment posting, and financial reporting. Familiarity with transportation software, spreadsheets, and billing platforms is important. Prior exposure to trucking, logistics, or transportation billing and payroll will be considered an advantage. A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related subject is preferred, although relevant hands-on experience may also be suitable.
