About the Team

The Engineering Project and Solutions Division (EPSD) focuses on designing, installing, and managing gas supply systems, storage infrastructure, and gas handling equipment. Its work is aimed at improving productivity, product quality, and safety for clients.

Role Overview

As a Project Engineer in the EPSD team, you will drive projects through mechanical completion and commissioning while keeping to timelines, technical standards, and budget limits. The role also involves early-stage tender support, contractor and equipment sourcing, and identifying practical installation approaches that help improve project economics. You will also be expected to uphold the company’s safety culture and ensure work complies with the Quality Management System and HSE requirements.

Key Duties

Your day-to-day work will include supporting testing and commissioning for gas distribution equipment, preparing and maintaining project documentation, and taking part in equipment design reviews with internal teams and clients. You will also provide post-installation support, including troubleshooting, site visits, and resolving issues during and after commissioning.

Additional Responsibilities

The role includes reviewing SCADA graphics, scales, and system settings, coordinating with SCADA programmers during commissioning, replacing faulty manifold and controller components when needed, improving local after-service support through training, and working with ALES ASIA to resolve program-related issues based on customer requirements.

Requirements

You should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Process, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Chemistry, and have at least 2 years of experience in engineering project management. Strong knowledge of project management tools, project controls, and QA/QC practices is needed. You should also understand gas properties, delivery safety, and how to read mechanical and electrical drawings. Experience with PLC and HMI systems is important, along with procurement and negotiation ability. The role calls for resilience, good time management, and a collaborative, stakeholder-oriented approach.
