Logistics Supervisor

Role Overview

Arla Foods is hiring a Logistics Supervisor in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on day-to-day warehouse execution, inventory control, compliance, team leadership, and continuous improvement across logistics operations.

Warehouse and Operations Management

• Manage all inbound and outbound warehouse work, including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
• Make sure orders are completed correctly and within the agreed service level.
• Track daily activity, address operational problems early, and escalate serious issues without delay.
• Work to strengthen direct delivery performance from the distribution center to customers.

Inventory and Stock Control

• Maintain precise inventory records across SKU, batch, location, and quantity.
• Run cycle counts regularly and keep the operation ready for audits.
• Reduce stock shrinkage, damage, and expiry-related losses.
• Keep complete records for every stock movement.

Cost Control and Efficiency

• Review warehouse capacity and make better use of available space.
• Cut dependence on third-party warehouses and keep storage expenses under control.
• Lift productivity by improving processes and using resources more effectively.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow Arla safety standards and all relevant local rules at all times.
• Carry out regular safety inspections and ensure SOP compliance.
• Support accident prevention efforts and ensure incidents are reported properly.
• Help build a strong safety-first culture within the team.

Quality and Food Safety

• Ensure warehouse operations meet quality and food safety requirements.
• Maintain high hygiene standards across the site.
• Manage damaged or defective stock and related claims efficiently.

Systems and Data Management

• Keep master data and system transactions accurate in SAP, SFA, and related tools.
• Work with IT to resolve system issues in a timely manner.
• Use data and KPIs to support performance improvement.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate closely with Supply Planning, Sales & Fleet, and Transport & Replenishment teams.
• Support a smooth flow of goods across the end-to-end value chain.
• Help maintain strong customer service by ensuring timely deliveries.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff.
• Plan manpower effectively and monitor productivity.
• Build team capability and engagement through training on topics such as Cornerstone and safety.

KPI and Performance Management

• Track and report inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rate, delivery accuracy, warehouse productivity, and in-market logistics cost.
• Take corrective action when targets are missed.

Continuous Improvement and Digitalization

• Spot process gaps and implement improvement actions.
• Support the use of digital tools and automation to improve efficiency.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives such as energy saving and waste reduction.
• Support Arla’s sustainability practices in your area.
• Act as an Arla ambassador by delivering a positive customer experience through professionalism, approachability, and strong product and brand knowledge.
• Adopt a digital transformation mindset and use data to guide decisions.

Education and Experience

• A relevant qualification in logistics, warehousing, or a similar field is required.
• At least 2 years of experience handling goods, preferably food products, is preferred.
• Strong organizational ability is necessary.
• A basic understanding of logistics units is needed, along with coordination with relevant functions to ensure timely maintenance of material handling equipment.
• Strong English and IT skills are expected.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook is required.
• Exposure to Power BI and AI tools is expected.
• Experience with SAP applications including EWM, ERP, BW, and RFUI is required.
• Familiarity with SFA is required.
