Data Analyst (Entry / Junior)

Role Overview

Earth Sciences Institute (ESI) is seeking an entry-level Data Analyst to turn raw information into practical insights that support better business decisions. This position is suited to someone who enjoys exploring datasets, spotting patterns, and solving problems in a structured way.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, arrange, and evaluate information from different business sources.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visual presentations that help guide decisions.
• Find trends, patterns, and useful takeaways within datasets.
• Clean data, verify accuracy, and carry out quality checks.
• Track key performance indicators and other business measures.
• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and analysis goals.
• Share conclusions and recommendations in a professional, easy-to-understand format.
• Contribute to process enhancements and data-led initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of data analysis, statistics, and reporting principles.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel; SQL familiarity is an added advantage.
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools is beneficial.
• Strong analytical ability and careful attention to detail.
• Sound problem-solving skills and clear communication.
• Capability to work accurately and efficiently with large datasets.
• A degree, diploma, or relevant training in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Economics, IT, or a related discipline is preferred.
