ملازمت کی تفصیل

Company Overview

Fisher Industries is a family-owned group of businesses with vertical integration across heavy civil construction and aggregate products throughout the United States. With more than 70 years in the industry, the company works on highways, bridges, aggregates, and major infrastructure projects, backed by internal capabilities in drilling, blasting, crushing, asphalt, and concrete production. The organization focuses on practical, innovative, and cost-conscious solutions while keeping safety and quality at the center of its work.

Role Overview

The Data Analyst will contribute to Business Transformation efforts and help internal teams turn operational and financial information into clear, actionable insights. As the company modernizes how data is used across aggregate production and heavy civil construction, this position will support a growing data environment designed for efficiency, simplicity, and innovation. This opportunity is a strong fit for an early- to mid-career professional who wants to shape a developing analytics stack rather than inherit a fully established one.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Business Transformation and leaders across operations, finance, HR, safety, marketing, project management, and other functions to translate business questions into reporting and data needs.
  • Create, support, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports that track business KPIs for projects, plants, and operating units, including safety, production, margin, and utilization metrics.
  • Develop, refine, and optimize SQL queries to pull, combine, and transform data from ERP and other data sources as system integrations expand.
  • Design and maintain data models, semantic layers, and reusable datasets to reduce duplicate reporting and keep business definitions consistent.
  • Carry out ad hoc analysis for bid support, cost reviews, process improvements, and leadership requests.
  • Record data sources, metric definitions, and report logic in clear language that is easy for business users to understand.
  • Help set up data-quality checks, reconciliation steps, and basic monitoring for data pipelines in partnership with IT teams or external vendors.
  • Train and assist stakeholders so they can navigate dashboards, understand metrics, and self-serve when possible.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 to 5+ years of experience in a data analyst role or a closely related position.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, measures, calculated columns, basic row-level security, and dashboard layout.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 tools, especially Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, lookups), OneDrive/SharePoint, Teams, and PowerPoint for executive presentations.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts such as fact and dimension tables, star schemas, and basic normalization/denormalization.
  • Basic familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts, including refresh schedules, incremental loads, and source-to-target mapping; hands-on tool experience is helpful but not required.
  • Willingness to learn construction and heavy civil data structures such as jobs, cost codes, phases, equipment, labor, and materials.
  • Exposure to Power Automate for simple workflow automation, plus Python or R for deeper analysis, and cloud data platforms such as Azure SQL, Synapse, or Snowflake.
