Role overview
Humane World is looking for a highly organized creative operations project manager to bring clearer structure, visibility, and consistency to a newly unified creative function. The role will review how work currently moves through the team, uncover process gaps, and help define a more efficient and scalable way to manage projects.
The right person will have strong experience supporting creative teams and will be comfortable working at a strategic level across workflow design, intake, resourcing, tracking, and delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Review the full workflow across creative disciplines, from intake to final delivery
- Document processes, tools, schedules, and deliverables across the department
- Spot bottlenecks, breakdowns, and opportunities to improve efficiency
- Increase visibility into workload, project status, and future forecasting
- Recommend stronger workflows and temporary operating practices until a central PM tool is in place
- Work closely with creative leaders to support change management and process alignment
- Use Airtable or an equivalent platform to organize and monitor work during the interim period
- Support the move to a centralized project management system when implemented
- Make sure DAM needs are included in workflow planning and process design
What we’re looking for
- Solid experience in creative project management or creative operations
- Proven ability to improve workflows for teams working across multiple creative disciplines
- Comfort collaborating with design, photo, video, editorial, and production groups
- Hands-on experience with Airtable or similar workflow and project tracking tools
- Ability to think strategically about systems and operations, not only day-to-day task management
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Self-directed approach suited to a fast-changing environment
- Experience with DAM workflows is beneficial
Role details
This position is fully remote. The schedule is flexible, with availability for 20 to 40 hours per week depending on business needs and the candidate’s schedule. The expected start is as soon as the right candidate is selected. This is interim support, with the possibility of moving into a full-time position in the fall.
