AWS Migration Engineer

Role overview

We are looking for an experienced Java backend engineer to help modernize and migrate applications into cloud-native services. The role focuses on building and refactoring microservices on AWS, with strong emphasis on containerization, orchestration, messaging, and managed database usage during migration work.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Work on microservices architecture with attention to service discovery, communication between services, fault handling, and overall resiliency.
• Package and run workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply AKS basics such as pods, services, gateways, and autoscaling.
• Use RabbitMQ or similar messaging tools for asynchronous and event-driven flows.
• Develop with PostgreSQL and support managed database usage during cloud migration efforts.
• Design microservices-based backend systems aligned with clean architecture principles and best practices.
• Transform existing AWS VM-based applications into containerized, cloud-native services.

Requirements

• 7 to 14 years of experience in software development with strong Java expertise.
• Practical, hands-on knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and backend service development.
• Good understanding of cloud fundamentals, including AWS infrastructure provisioning, VPC networking, and storage services such as EFS and S3.
• Working experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ or related messaging systems is preferred.
• Strong database experience with PostgreSQL and managed cloud databases.

Eligibility

Applicants should have relevant experience in software development. Graduation is not required for this opportunity.
