Role Overview
This position is for a US Accounts Executive reporting to the Team Leader. The role involves preparing financial information for management, analyzing accounting data, maintaining accurate records of assets, liabilities, and capital accounts, and recording financial transactions. The position is based in Bengaluru/Bangalore, follows a night shift schedule from 06:30 PM to 03:30 AM, and is a full-time office-based role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including monthly and quarterly billing, payment posting, and tracking aging balances.
- Communicate with clients to support revenue collection for the company.
- Follow up with clients daily and weekly through fax, phone calls, email, and mail as needed.
- Work toward resolving overdue balances and handling related issues effectively.
- Use accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, WaveApps, Fathom, MYOB, Xero, and Tally.
- Handle accounts payable tasks, including tracking vendor invoices, aging status, and payroll processing.
- Review aged unpaid invoices every month and investigate the underlying causes of delays.
- Perform quality checks on invoices entered according to the approved process.
- Reconcile vendor statements and respond to vendor queries.
- Monitor company liabilities and release payments within deadlines.
- Prepare quarterly profitability reports for U.S. entities.
- Reconcile income ledger and expense ledger accounts.
- Support taxation work, including knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and unemployment taxes.
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Ensure tax calculations and payments are completed on time.
- Assist with internal and statutory audits.
- Track costs and department-wise monthly expenses.
- Share daily, weekly, and monthly reports with management.
Skills and Knowledge Needed
- Strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with U.S. accounting and tax processes.
- Ability to work with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Bill.com.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable workflows.
- Understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and ledger management.
- Exposure to U.S. taxation concepts.
- Good communication and client follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work in a night-shift schedule.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Additional Information
Qualification required: Any degree.
Experience required: 4 to 9 years overall, with at least 2 years in U.S. accounting and taxation.
Desired advantage: Finance certification is considered a plus.
Work mode: Work from office.
