Role Overview

Murphy USA is seeking full-time and part-time Shift Leads for immediate hiring at its Sandersville, Georgia location. The company operates more than 1,700 gasoline and convenience stores across 27 states, and this role is part of the team that helps keep the store running smoothly and the customer experience strong.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver fast, professional, and friendly service to every customer
• Handle customer questions, issues, and complaints in a timely manner
• Assist with customer purchases and fuel-related transactions
• Operate the cash register accurately
• Make sure fuel and merchandise are stocked and ready for customers
• Keep the store environment clean, safe, and presentable
• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations
• Help the team meet and exceed performance targets
• Carry out other duties connected to the role as needed
• When management is unavailable, take on backup responsibilities such as daily and monthly paperwork, issue resolution, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product counts, equipment maintenance, and training new hires

What We’re Looking For

• Must meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years; the minimum age is 19 in Indiana and 20 in Kentucky, and 21 in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Utah
• A high school diploma or GED is required, or at least 6 months of relevant work experience
• At least 3 months of cashier experience is required
• Ability to repeatedly bend, stand, and reach throughout the shift
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Reliable transportation is required

Pay Information

The posted wage range for a Shift Lead is $10.50 to $11.00 per hour. For reference, the Assistant Manager salary range is $12.50 to $13.00 per hour.
