Solution Engineer (Technical Presales)

Role overview

This opportunity is for a cybersecurity-oriented Solutions Engineer who will support partners across Singapore. The role suits someone who enjoys turning complex security topics into practical advice and guiding partners toward the most suitable vendor for each situation.

Working style

This position follows a hybrid setup, with 3 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Serve as a cybersecurity pre-sales specialist for Channel Account Managers and MSP partners across Singapore.
• Discuss security architecture and overall security posture with confidence, especially around EDR, MDR, and XDR offerings.
• Review customer use cases and match them with the most appropriate vendor solution while clearly explaining the reasoning and trade-offs.
• Show how different security tools work together across the full customer security lifecycle.
• Run product demos, deliver technical walkthroughs, and present solutions to partners.
• Assist with RFIs, proof-of-concept discussions, and partner enablement activities without being responsible for deep implementation work.
• Work closely with sales teams as a trusted technical advisor to help partners and customers reach strong outcomes.
• Align solutions to cybersecurity benchmarks such as CSA Cyber Essentials Mark, CIS Controls, and SMB1001, while advising on how to close solution gaps.

What you should bring

• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, pre-sales engineering, or technical consulting.
• Practical exposure to the cybersecurity ecosystem, including EDR, MDR, email security, and security frameworks.
• Working familiarity with major cybersecurity vendors and how their products are positioned in real customer environments.
• Ability to evaluate customer requirements and recommend the most suitable vendor fit.
• One relevant certification from ISC2, SC900, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, or CompTIA Network+.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex security topics in a clear, credible way.
• A team-oriented mindset and genuine interest in helping partners succeed.
