PHOENIX Retail, LLC operates the Express and Bonobos brands across global markets. Express is a multichannel apparel brand built around a polished, modern, effortless style for work, daily wear, and special events. Founded in 1980, the brand serves customers through more than 400 retail and outlet locations in the United States and Puerto Rico, along with its online store and mobile app.
This opening is for the Haywood Mall store in Greenville, South Carolina. The company is looking for a Retail Sales Associate who can contribute to an excellent in-store experience while also handling routine store support duties such as organizing inventory, folding apparel, and keeping the sales area tidy.
Key responsibilities
- Keep the sales floor, fitting rooms, checkout area, and stockroom clean, orderly, and safe for shoppers and team members.
- Adhere to company policies and operating procedures to help protect associates and customers.
- Support new product launches and floor changes in line with standard operating procedures.
- Create a positive customer experience throughout the shopping journey.
- Carry out transactions efficiently and accurately to reduce customer wait time.
- Handle service concerns professionally, work toward a resolution, and escalate issues to store management when needed.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs by explaining the value to customers and encouraging participation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Experience and qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred, with at least 6 months of related work experience noted.
- Comfort using store technology such as iPads and registers.
- Availability must include nights, weekends, and non-standard business hours.
- Ability to meet physical job requirements.
Skills and attributes
- Prior retail exposure is an advantage.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication with customers, sales leadership, and coworkers.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
