Role Overview
This position owns the overall performance of a retail store, including sales growth, team leadership, supply chain coordination, profitability, compliance, and the in-store customer experience. The role also involves keeping the business at break-even or better, supporting employee engagement, maintaining standard operating procedures, and ensuring the store presentation aligns with visual merchandising expectations.
Core Accountabilities
- Drive store revenue and anticipate future sales opportunities.
- Improve store profitability and support EBITDA growth.
- Track service-level performance and keep the store aligned with the annual operating plan.
- Build a strong talent pipeline to support future new store openings.
- Strengthen team capability and contribute to business topline performance.
- Maintain store excellence standards and SOP compliance.
- Support brand positioning, project execution, financial planning, and budgeting.
- Work toward category gross margin goals and overall store targets.
- Reduce shrinkage through regular audits and controls.
- Keep the store financially healthy by monitoring bottom-line performance and operating costs.
- Manage inventory ageing, stock turns, and negative inventory control.
- Track competition on product, pricing, and promotions, and share timely feedback.
- Execute store marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and events.
People Leadership
- Manage attrition and support employee happiness and engagement.
- Identify, recognize, and develop high-potential employees.
- Optimize manpower allocation across categories.
- Provide functional and behavioral training support.
- Coach sales associates through training and career planning.
- Keep the team updated on new products, brands, and selling techniques.
- Ensure periodic reviews and feedback are completed for all store employees.
Process, Policy, and Compliance
- Monitor sales and inventory planning.
- Follow Mockshop guidelines.
- Ensure full implementation of SOPs by the team.
- Conduct regular SOP training sessions.
- Maintain store ranking and audit standards.
- Meet statutory compliance and operational requirements.
Customer Experience
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are followed across the store.
- Make sure the team responds to customer needs effectively.
- Recommend suitable products, services, and customer-care solutions in a timely way.
- Maintain the customer base and engage them regularly through store updates and promotions.
- Achieve targets for conversion, Available To Ship (ATS), and NOB.
- Work toward an NPS score above 85%.
Education and Experience
Applicants should hold a graduation or post-graduation qualification and bring 3 to 9 years of relevant experience.
