Processing Officer, Timaru

About the Role

As a Processing Officer at the Washdyke branch in Timaru, you’ll be part of the team that makes parcel delivery happen. The role focuses on sorting, consolidating, and dispatching parcels and freight so they’re ready for couriers to deliver across New Zealand.

This is a hands-on, physically active position in a team environment that supports the movement of goods through a technology-enabled, fast-moving operation.

Schedule and Pay

• Pay rate: $26.75 per hour plus an additional night shift allowance.
• Working hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 1:00am to 6:00am.
• This role involves physical work and can help you stay active while earning.

What You’ll Do

• Sort parcels and freight accurately and efficiently.
• Consolidate items for dispatch to courier teams.
• Help keep the processing area running safely and smoothly.
• Work closely with teammates to meet daily operational goals.

What We’re Looking For

• Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday during the overnight/early morning shift.
• A team-focused attitude and a strong commitment to safety for yourself and others.
• Good physical capability for a demanding role, including lifting up to 25 kg.
• Strong attention to detail and solid geographical awareness.
