Construction Engineer

Role Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing and assisting with construction work so that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in line with approved drawings and quality expectations. The role works closely with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to clear technical issues and keep site activities running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site activities and confirm that work follows drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Examine shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements to ensure they are acceptable.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues encountered on site.
• Perform site checks and compile progress updates.
• Monitor project schedules, spot possible delays, and suggest corrective steps.
• Maintain quality control and ensure work meets project standards.
• Assist project managers with documentation, reporting, and communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Applicants should have 3 to 7 years of experience in construction supervision or project execution.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, building materials, and safety practices is needed.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project or Primavera, and other site management tools is expected.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.
