About the Role
Capital 11 Hotel is a guest-oriented hospitality business in Accra, Agboogba, known for comfortable stays, attentive service, and memorable food experiences. The kitchen plays a central part in the hotel’s identity, with a focus on fresh ingredients, dependable quality, and guest satisfaction. What You Will Do
As the Chef, you will be responsible for creating, preparing, and presenting meals that meet the hotel’s standards and match guest expectations. You will plan menus, guide kitchen operations, supervise team members, and make sure dishes are served on time and to the required quality.
You will also oversee hygiene and food safety practices, track inventory, manage food costs, and work with suppliers to keep stock levels adequate. In addition, you will help train junior kitchen staff, partner with hotel management on events and promotions, and improve recipes and workflows based on guest feedback.
Qualifications and Work Conditions
Applicants should have solid culinary ability across menu planning, cooking, and presentation for different cuisines. A good understanding of kitchen operations, inventory control, cost management, and supplier handling is important, along with strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and local health compliance.
The role also requires experience in leading and mentoring kitchen staff, clear communication, teamwork, and the ability to perform well in a busy environment while handling multiple orders and maintaining quality under pressure. Relevant culinary training or certification is expected, and previous experience in hotel or restaurant kitchens is an advantage. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays is necessary for hotel operations.
