Role Overview
An opportunity has opened for an accomplished early childhood education leader to take charge of a newly built learning centre in Orewa, Auckland. This position is ideal for someone ready to step up into centre leadership or for an experienced Centre Manager seeking a modern environment backed by a supportive organisation.
The role sits within a respected early childhood provider and focuses on establishing the tone, culture and standards of a new centre. The successful person will help create a welcoming setting where children, whānau and kaiako can grow and succeed together.
Leadership and Centre Management
- Provide overall direction for the centre and ensure strong outcomes for children.
- Guide, coach and support kaiako so they can perform at their best.
- Foster a workplace culture that feels encouraging, inclusive and motivating.
- Maintain high standards in curriculum delivery, regulatory compliance and day-to-day operations.
- Build respectful and lasting connections with children, whānau and the wider community.
- Develop local partnerships and strengthen the centre’s presence in the community.
- Drive ongoing improvement and promote a mindset of learning and excellence.
Ideal Background
The preferred candidate will bring ECE leadership experience and the confidence to lead a centre through its growth phase. A strong understanding of Te Whāriki and New Zealand ECE licensing standards is essential, along with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with staff, families and community stakeholders.
