İş tanımı

Role overview

This position sits within the Markets & Channels commercial analytics space and focuses on strengthening the company’s ability to see and understand commercial performance. The goal is to improve data transparency, support better decision-making, and keep the shopper perspective central to every outcome.

You will combine practical experience with data platforms, retail awareness, and curiosity to help shape a forward-looking data and analytics function that supports digital transformation across commercial teams.

What you will do

  • Design, build, orchestrate, and monitor data pipelines that produce reliable data products for one of the three commercial domain pillars.
  • Apply CI/CD good practices, data quality controls, validation checks, and performance/cost optimisation to data products.
  • Develop and support semantic-layer components such as metric-view pipelines, materialisation, and optimisation.
  • Use Unity Catalog governance practices, including schemas, access controls, and metadata tagging, to improve discoverability and compliance.
  • Work with the Analytics Interface, Commercial Analytics, and business partners to convert business needs into production-ready AI-enabled data products.
  • Promote data literacy across Markets & Channels through guidance, training sessions, drop-ins, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Team up with Analytics Innovation & Automation and Data Office Product colleagues to test and deliver new platform capabilities.
  • Work with Shopper & Partner digital product teams to ensure data is captured correctly and published to the LEGO Data Platform (Databricks) in a form suitable for downstream use.
  • Advocate for strong data product practices across the team, the wider Markets & Channels organisation, and the broader analytics community.

Team context

The wider department is focused on enabling self-service data products for commercial data consumers and decision-makers. The Analytics Engineering team is responsible for building an AI-ready data foundation that can be trusted by the whole company.

Stakeholders will primarily come from A&I and the commercial organisation, with possible collaboration extending into Data Science, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.

This role is important to the ambition of creating a world-class analytics organisation that can deliver scalable data products, AI-led insights, and decision intelligence.

What you should bring

  • Background in analytics engineering, data solutions, data engineering, or a similar data specialist role.
  • Strong command of SQL and/or Python, with experience handling large structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Practical understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern data transformation methods.
  • Ability to explain technical limits and trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A careful, detail-focused working style with strong adaptability and a results-driven mindset.
  • Comfort working independently on major initiatives as part of a cross-functional squad.
  • A collaborative approach and a strong team-first mindset.
  • A positive, proactive attitude, plus curiosity and confidence to challenge constructively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10 days per year.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
