Role OverviewVisteon is looking for a Workforce Planning Specialist to help shape how talent, cost, and productivity are aligned to support future business needs. This role sits within the Workforce Architecture team and plays a key part in guiding leaders on where to invest, where to optimize, and how to build capacity for the work that matters most.The ideal candidate enjoys working where data, strategy, and business impact meet. You should be comfortable tackling complex enterprise challenges, drawing meaningful insights from data, and converting those insights into practical actions that improve business outcomes.What You Will LeadDevelop and maintain a role-risk register that assesses how AI and automation may affect roles across the organization.Convert complex workforce data into clear recommendations that support reskilling, redeployment, and workforce change.Work closely with Talent teams to strengthen future-ready skills and critical roles.Design workforce investment and optimization approaches that guide decisions on where to hire, where to invest, and where to improve efficiency.Assess new hiring requests against business priorities, internal talent availability, and automation opportunities.Support leadership in making informed choices on cost, productivity, and talent deployment.Build 12–36 month workforce forecasts that combine demand outlook, skill needs, hiring plans, and attrition trends.Provide regular insights on talent shortages, excess capacity, and hiring priorities.Create scalable analytics solutions that improve planning accuracy and response speed.Lead organization effectiveness initiatives that simplify structure, improve spans and layers, and align roles more effectively.Drive reviews that increase productivity, capacity, and operational efficiency.Translate analysis into recommendations that leaders can act on quickly.First-Year OutcomesComplete an AI impact assessment across all roles, along with actionable reskilling plans.Establish a workforce investment framework that highlights measurable optimization opportunities.Introduce a predictive workforce intelligence capability for long-term planning.Deliver organization design improvements that increase productivity and release capacity.Success MeasuresClear visibility into AI-related role risk, with strong mitigation action in place.Measurable return on investment and workforce optimization outcomes.Better forecasting accuracy, targeting around ±5%.Meaningful redeployment of talent to meet changing business demand.Experience and BackgroundWe are seeking someone with more than 10 years of experience in workforce planning, resource management, or engineering operations. A background in strategy, finance, analytics, or consulting will be especially valuable.You should be able to influence senior stakeholders through concise, evidence-based storytelling and be comfortable evaluating trade-offs, scenarios, and financial impact. The focus of this role is on business outcomes such as capacity, productivity, and cost efficiency rather than only tracking activity metrics.
