Role Overview

Tata Consultancy Services is hiring a SQL DBA in Kolkata, India to manage and support Microsoft SQL Server databases for business applications.

Responsibilities

Build, deploy, and support SQL databases that run key business systems.
Investigate database slowdowns and improve query efficiency and overall performance.
Work with application developers to plan and deliver database schema updates.
Protect data by setting up proper access permissions, backup routines, and recovery processes.

Requirements

Hands-on experience of 5 to 7 years in a SQL DBA position working on Microsoft SQL Server environments.
Solid command of T-SQL and familiarity with its syntax and usage.
Practical understanding of database design, normalization, and indexing approaches.
