You will support the Sales Lead in preparing compelling proposals that align with the organization’s vision and project objectives, while working independently and managing competing deadlines.Key responsibilitiesLead the full proposal process for assigned opportunities, coordinating input from subject matter experts to build winning value propositions.Own the standard, clarity, and visual presentation of submissions.Work with internal teams to choose the most suitable response strategy and tone for each bid.Support the Sales Lead by aligning technical and commercial messaging to strengthen the overall proposal.Operate with a high level of independence while managing priorities, deadlines, and multiple tasks.Use facilitation, conflict resolution, time management, and inclusive team practices to support collaboration within the opportunity team.Help train team members on tools such as Microsoft applications, CRM Salesforce, SharePoint, and InDesign when needed.Work within Jacobs’ relationship-based sales approach.Partner with Sales Leads, Capture Managers, and Operations to prepare B&P estimates, secure approvals, track spending, and report notable budget variances for specific opportunities.Ensure compliance with SOX and ISO requirements throughout the proposal and opportunity close-out process.Maintain governance records for Bid/No Bid decisions, Green Reviews, and handover from Sales to Operations.Build knowledge of client terms and conditions, pricing approaches, and Jacobs’ financial metrics.Use core sales systems and tools such as CSP, SharePoint, and the Knowledge Centre.Work with Sales Lead and Capture Manager/Operations teams to create distinctive value propositions that strengthen customer competitiveness during the opening game stage.Share sales materials, knowledge, and best practices with other Sales Operations colleagues across the organization.RequirementsA bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another relevant field, along with approximately 6+ years of experience.Experience or capability in solution-selling strategy development.Strong written communication and proposal writing ability.Background in marketing and sales coordination.Ability to facilitate discussions, influence stakeholders, and manage group processes.Experience in opportunity, bid, or proposal management.Solid business understanding and commercial judgment.Good time management and task coordination skills.Ability to influence stakeholders across functions.Work model and supportJacobs offers flexible working arrangements and a hybrid model that allows employees to split time between Jacobs offices or project locations and remote work.
