Role overview
This 12-month contract supports a payroll data migration workstream tied to a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations rollout. The position is focused on protecting payroll accuracy, data quality, and process continuity during the transition.
You will partner with HR, Finance, IT, and external implementation specialists to move payroll information into the new system, verify its integrity, and help ensure the migration is completed smoothly. The role calls for solid regional payroll knowledge, practical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, and a precise, methodical working style.
Key responsibilities
- Lead support activities for migrating payroll records into Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O from start to finish.
- Check, clean, and align legacy payroll data before it is loaded into the new platform.
- Work with HR and Finance to map payroll components correctly, including earnings, deductions, and benefits.
- Help with system testing, including parallel payroll runs and user acceptance testing.
- Spot and correct mismatches, missing fields, and other data issues during migration.
- Support payroll processing during the transition so day-to-day operations continue without disruption.
- Confirm payroll results are accurate, compliant, and issued within deadlines.
- Assist in reconciling outputs between the old system and Dynamics 365.
- Serve as a coordination point between HR, Finance, IT, and implementation partners.
- Share payroll process and statutory knowledge with internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to training and handover activities once the implementation is complete.
- Ensure payroll data handling and processes follow UAE labour law and internal company policies.
- Protect employee payroll information and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Assist with audit-related requirements connected to payroll migration and system changes.
Experience and technical profile
The ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of strong experience in payroll and/or data migration, preferably within a UAE business environment, with broader MENA exposure considered valuable. Prior involvement in payroll system implementations or migration projects is expected, along with hands-on capability in Microsoft Dynamics 365, especially F&O and Finance modules.
Good knowledge of payroll structures is important, including salary components, allowances, commissions, end-of-service benefits, and the way leave and absence affect payroll calculations. Advanced Excel ability is needed for validation, reconciliation, and analysis; familiarity with manual payroll or accounting processes is an advantage. Experience across GCC and wider regional payroll environments such as the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt is highly desirable because the work supports multi-country payroll alignment.
Working relationships
- HR teams covering payroll, employee information, and policy matters
- Finance teams handling general ledger, reconciliations, and cost allocation
- IT teams and ERP implementation partners
- External payroll service providers
Success outcomes
- Reliable payroll migration into the new platform
- Little to no interruption to employee pay
- A strong base for future HR and Finance integration
