Role overview
This position supports warehouse operations by handling freight inside the facility. The role focuses on loading, unloading, scanning, and sorting packages to keep shipments moving efficiently.
Key duties
- Load and unload freight.
- Scan incoming and outgoing freight.
- Sort freight within the facility.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian customs rules is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed.
- Ability to complete all basic training and refresher training successfully.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and handle packages weighing up to 150 lbs with the proper equipment.
- Ability to work in a PC Windows environment.
- Must be able to complete required testing and maintain any annual accreditations that apply.
- Must be willing to work different shifts depending on business requirements.
