Role overview

The Master Data Junior Analyst will join the Global Master Data Management team and help support Dyson’s business operations by keeping master data accurate, consistent and improved. The role covers a broad mix of master data work across Material, Customer, Supplier, Finance and Pricing domains, along with regular reporting activities.

This position offers steady exposure to MDG and SAP master data processes and provides scope to build skills within a guided development environment. The role is also responsible for maintaining data quality, spotting inconsistencies, and suggesting improvements that add value to the team.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming master data requests and carry them through the process.
• Spot data quality problems and flag anomalies for correction.
• Check that submitted data follows the required standards and business rules.
• Support and guide business teams that submit master data requests.
• Identify gaps or improvement areas in request forms.
• Help the team achieve its performance targets and reporting metrics.
• Follow documented procedures for process control and compliance.
• Look for ways to make request handling more efficient and reduce rework.
• Work closely with colleagues across functions and regions to build effective working relationships.
• Question processes that do not seem correct and suggest better ways of working.

Skills and experience expected

The role requires strong written and spoken English, practical SAP master data entry experience, and familiarity with MDG change request handling. Experience with ticketing systems is also useful, with ServiceNow considered an advantage. The position follows European office hours and may require flexibility to work outside standard Indian business hours.

About you

You should hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent business-related qualification. Experience in a business services centre environment will be valuable.

Dyson is looking for someone with 2 to 4 years of experience in master data, ideally across areas such as Material, Supplier, Pricing, Customer, Finance, or Data Quality Improvement. You should have worked with MDG and SAP data processes, be comfortable using Office 365 tools such as Excel, Word and Teams, and understand finance and procurement basics. The role also needs someone who can interpret unstructured requests and convert them into a system-based data action.

Eligibility criteria for internal movements

• Employees must have completed at least 18 months in their current role or with the organisation.
• The most recent appraisal cycle should generally reflect satisfactory or better performance.
• Employees must not be subject to any active disciplinary action or performance improvement plan.
