Java Microservices Developer

About the Role

This position is for a Java Microservices Developer with Tata Consultancy Services in Hyderabad. The role focuses on building API-driven services and working within a microservices-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Java REST APIs that follow microservices design principles.
• Develop Swagger/OpenAPI definitions and verify API contracts for accuracy.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support smooth integration and delivery.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders, manage customer communication, and prepare management updates.
• Contribute to Agile delivery processes and collaborate closely with the project team.
• Use build and delivery tools such as Maven, ANT, Jenkins, Bamboo, and GitHub.

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of experience in creating and consuming Java APIs.
• Hands-on experience building Java RESTful services aligned to microservices architecture standards.
• Working knowledge of JPA for database interaction.
• Practical experience with Swagger/OpenAPI and API contract validation.
• Exposure to CI/CD implementation and support.
• Understanding of 12-factor application development practices.
• Experience deploying microservices to cloud-based container platforms.
