Role Overview

An early-career Drafter is required to join the Newcastle team and work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers. This position is suited to someone at junior level who wants to build a career in a consulting environment and contribute to multi-office, multidisciplinary project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with vendor drawings and models by importing them into project systems and adjusting them as needed.
• Partner with design engineers to produce concept and detailed design drawings and models.
• Assist project teams with documentation, drawing revisions, and model coordination.
• Maintain drawing templates and uphold drafting standards across projects.

About You

The preferred candidate will value autonomy, career flexibility, and meaningful work. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes are important, along with experience contributing to projects in a consulting setting and within a multidisciplinary, multi-office team.

Qualifications

You should be enrolled in, or have already completed, a relevant TAFE qualification such as Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or Certificate IV/Diploma in Civil Construction Design.

• Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings.

Desirable Experience
