About the Role

The Development Platform Engineer will partner closely with engineering teams to design, build, and continuously improve Seequent’s internal development platform. This platform is central to helping the company deliver its Evo applications and services quickly and with confidence. The role makes use of modern cloud and container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud to deliver platform capabilities that are scalable, dependable, and easy to reuse. The platform is intended to remove infrastructure burden from development teams so they can stay focused on creating business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve an internal platform that reduces infrastructure complexity and makes it easier for engineers to deploy services quickly.
  • Deliver new platform capabilities and enhancements using current cloud technologies.
  • Define and encourage the use of reusable platform patterns, processes, and tools that reduce manual work and support team productivity.
  • Use and advocate for AI tools and models to improve productivity and strengthen the internal development platform.
  • Work with stakeholders across Evo Development, Security, and Architecture to identify, evaluate, and prioritise platform features.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in build engineering or infrastructure engineering roles.
  • Practical experience with CI/CD systems such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Experience working with major cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and AWS.
