About the role

Deutsche Telekom is looking for an intern to help turn data into actionable insights in the area of sales reporting. This role is intended for candidates who want to apply academic knowledge in a practical setting and contribute to the digital transformation of a major telecommunications company. The position starts on 01.09.2026 and can be completed as either a mandatory or voluntary internship.

Key responsibilities

You will support the team across several analytics, automation and reporting tasks, with a focus on improving how sales data is processed and presented.

• Contribute to digitalization and innovation initiatives within sales reporting.
• Help build, improve and automate recurring reports.
• Analyze data using SQL and Python.
• Create visual reports and dashboards, for example with Power BI or Strategy.
• Support the use and development of AI-based solutions in reporting.
• Assist with project coordination, planning, documentation and related administrative work.
• Examine complex sales datasets and translate findings into practical recommendations.

Candidate profile

The company is seeking a student of business informatics, a similar discipline, or someone currently in a gap year. The role calls for solid technical and analytical abilities, along with a structured way of solving problems.

• Strong working knowledge of SQL.
• Hands-on exposure to data visualization tools.
• Well-developed analytical thinking.
• Good problem-solving skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of Python.
• Initial experience with Strategy, Power BI, or comparable BI platforms.
• Basic familiarity with project management methods.
• Interest in machine learning or data modeling.
