About Fishbowl
Fishbowl builds manufacturing and inventory management software for expanding businesses across the United States and other markets. Supported by Diversis Capital, the company is creating a modern cloud platform and user-friendly experiences that help operations run smoothly, reduce complexity, and support growth for thousands of small and mid-sized organizations.
This role is focused on shaping how users experience the brand through thoughtful, straightforward writing. The work supports people such as warehouse managers, inventory leads, and operations teams across different settings, from the warehouse to the road to the office.
Role Overview
As a Copywriter, you will create clear, personable content that helps bring the brand voice to life across the business. Although the position sits in Marketing, you will contribute to work that supports Sales, Customer Success, Support, and HR, keeping communication consistent, friendly, and aligned with the company’s tone.
You will work from detailed briefs and brand standards, turning ideas into effective copy across multiple channels while continuing to grow your writing skills.
Key Contributions
- Develop and refine copy for campaigns, lifecycle email sequences, digital journeys, social media content, and sales support materials.
- Assist Sales, Customer Success, Support, and HR by writing clear, customer-focused content for presentations, documentation, internal messages, and external-facing assets.
- Convert complex product or internal ideas into simple, approachable language for different audiences.
- Adjust messaging for different regions or audience needs while preserving a consistent global brand voice.
- Help shape campaign and content initiatives by delivering polished copy that makes concepts feel real and engaging.
- Manage several assignments and deadlines at once while maintaining both speed and quality.
- Use feedback constructively to strengthen clarity, consistency, and overall writing quality over time.
Team and Working Approach
This position is part of the Marketing team and partners closely with Sales, Customer Success, Support, and HR. You will also work with the company’s in-house global agency, The Hub. Support will come through creative direction, briefs, and brand frameworks, along with opportunities to learn from experienced creatives and cross-functional teammates.
What the Role Requires
The ideal candidate brings professional copywriting experience, a strong writing portfolio, and the ability to work across short-form and long-form formats. You should be comfortable following brand guidance, collaborating with stakeholders, and tailoring tone to suit different audiences.
There is also an expectation of strong organization, careful attention to detail, and an openness to using modern tools, including AI-assisted writing and research tools, to work efficiently without sacrificing quality. Experience or interest in technology, SaaS, or B2B storytelling would be an added advantage.
Working Style and Flexibility
This is a 30-hour-per-week hourly position designed to provide flexibility. The company recognizes that work needs to fit alongside family and other commitments.
Some onsite time is required, particularly at the beginning, to build relationships, collaborate with teammates, and learn the product and business. Office time will be arranged around your availability. Over time, the onsite requirement is expected to decrease, potentially to one day every couple of weeks, with this arrangement remaining flexible and open to discussion.
Benefits
- Flexible PTO with no accrual system, giving employees time off as needed.
- Multiple healthcare plan options, including PTO and HSA choices with company matching contributions to HSA accounts.
- Paid parental leave.
- 401(k) matching.
- A collaborative team culture with the option to work from the office or remotely as needed.
Compliance and Equal Opportunity
The company participates in E-Verify as part of the Electronic Employment Verification Program.
Fishbowl is committed to equal employment opportunity and does not discriminate or tolerate harassment based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other legally protected characteristic.
